Ever since the first person timidly looked out of our common cradle – since then it was written for us to move forward. And up!

Firaxis We approached the development of Beyond Earth with a laudable meticulousness. Factions and their leaders were free from stereotypes and "cranberries". And the Slavic Federation is not another incarnation of the Russian Empire or the USSR, but a fundamentally new state where the values of scientific knowledge have defeated. Firaxis relied on the golden era of astronautics when the Soviet Union was in the Space Race, and the prototype Vadim Kozlov, internally and outwardly, is Yuri Gagarin himself. Therefore, the advantage of the Federation is primarily associated with artificial satellites.
We have prepared many difficulties. The planet where the expedition goes is studied very little. What awaits us in a new house? Doesn't matter! We are ready for everything. Our microbiologists will defeat extraterrestrial viruses. Our ecologists will create wonderful colonies. Our astrophysicists will subordinate someone else's planet and present it to humanity. And when other expeditions cannot withstand the competition with the universe, we will save them from death and shelter under the common roof.

Firaxis was inspired by real history, philosophical works and masterpieces of science fiction. However, the time of disagreement finally passed. We know what the power of the Slavic federation. Our orbital stations for a whole generation overtook foreign analogues, and our machines allow you to create equipment of incredible accuracy. But will we survive without reliable support of the planet comrades? Will we not be Ivanes who do not remember our father, without scientists Franco-Iberia? Whether we will save before the extraterrestrial fauna without hardened soldiers from Buenos Aires? Whether we will be bent in the vice if the spiritual fathers from the Cavitian protectorate are not guided by us? No, we will have to act together for the good of the human form.

Although each of the six leaders will have its own backstory and strong features (like the “perks” of leaders from “civilizations”), their character, ideals and the approach to the rule are entirely given to players. Depending on the chosen development path – “purity”, “superiority” or “harmony” – the appearance of the commanders will also change: for example, superiority adherents can turn into a kind of cyborgs. Combat units of fractions also change in accordance with the elected way.
I was once compared with Yuri Gagarin, a pioneer of astronautics. With a fair amount of embarrassment, but I have to recognize the competence of this comparison. And not only because I am the same simple guy from a working family who dreamed of stars, for dusty paths of distant planets.
